Project Background
Witmer Waterproofing successfully completed comprehensive waterproofing and caulking services at the retirement community in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The project involved self-adhering sheet waterproofing, sealing, and caulking for various structural components to ensure durability and protection from water infiltration.
Elevator Pit Waterproofing
- Applied self-adhering sheet waterproofing using GCP Bituthene 3000 with GCP Prepruf 300R for optimal water protection
Exterior Caulking
- exterior perimeter of exterior doors in brick
- exterior perimeter of exterior louvers in brick
- exterior perimeter of exterior windows and storefronts in brick
- Caulked 3/8″ brick expansion joints
- Caulked the vertical joint where brick meets fiber cement panel
- Caulked the vertical joint where brick meets fiber cement panel/siding at window inserts
- Caulked the horizontal brick relieving angle
- Caulked the horizontal joint where brick meets fiber cement panel/siding
Garage Caulking
- Caulked vertical CMU control joints in the garage
- Caulked vertical joints where CMU meets concrete in the garage
- Caulked the top of non-rated CMU partitions in the garage level
- Sealed the top of rated CMU partitions in the garage level and elevator tower
Interior Caulking
- Caulked the interior perimeter of exterior doors, louvers, windows, and storefronts to GWB (Gypsum Wall Board)
