WATERPROOFING & NEW MASONRY
Bell & Evans, a family-owned company located in Fredericksburg, PA, and pioneer of natural and organic chicken, broke ground on a 411,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art European-plus Chicken Harvesting Plant in Fredericksburg. This will be the first new build of a chicken harvesting facility in the northeast United States in over 40 years.
The new Chicken Harvesting Plant will primarily support Bell & Evans’ retail and foodservice sectors and will enable the family-owned business to expand its organic line of products. The new plant will be one of several new facilities built at the 112-acre, multi-building complex in Fredericksburg, PA. Additional operations will include a wastewater treatment plant, rendering plant, composting building, and warehousing facility.
The Work performed by the Waterproofing team:
- Joint Filler – 14,260 linear feet
- Caulking – 18,789 linear feet
- Waterproofing – 5,602 square feet
The masonry team also provided services for Bell & Evans Plant 3 :
New Masonry scope was only interior CMU partitions (bathrooms, offices, etc. Also, a Change Order for a building changed from concrete panels to 12” Split-Face ACMU.
- 20,250 – CMU
- 800 – Ground Face Site Wall w/ 70 cast stone wall caps
- 13,350 – 12” Split-Face
- 190 cubic yards
- 12,000 of Rebar
The waterproofing and masonry team worked together to complete a beautiful project.
