The Strickler Road Warehouse
Project Background
The Strickler Road Warehouse is located in Mount Joy, PA. The building houses paper, packaging, and building products.
The existing sealants exceeded their life expectancy and were in need of replacement around the entire building. The life expectancy of joint sealants varies greatly, depending on environmental conditions, types of products used, and settlement of the structure over time. Life expectancy typically varies from 5 to 10 years, while some may require repairs after only a few years. The sealant team worked together to deliver precise services for the building to help in the long term.
The scope of work involved the cutout and recaulk of the exterior joints.
This scope was included for the following locations:
- Exterior precast panel joints – 6,400 LF
- Aluminum storefront perimeters – 800 LF
- Louver perimeters – 125 LF
- Hollow metal door frame perimeters – 575 LF
- Sidewalk expansion joints – 1,100 LF
- Dock apron to the building – 825 LF
