In August of 2020, construction started on the PennDOT District 6 Regional Traffic Management Center, and two years later, it is almost complete. This project, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of General Service (DGS), included the construction of a brand-new building for the RTMC and the coinciding open parking structure on the west side of the existing PennDOT District 6 office property. The new facility will allow PennDOT to operate Advanced Traffic Management Systems that will improve safety, traffic flow, and overall efficiency. This new structure has the capacity to house the additional staff and facility support necessary for the innovative new functions and technology.
The scope of work consisted of:
2 Stair towers
2 Elevators
11850 Sq Ft Norman Brick Veneer (Stack Bond)
9560 Gray CMU
978 Ground Face CMU
53500 Norman Size Brick
96 Yards of Grout
11850 3” Rigid Insulation
35 1’ 5”x 8ft long x 8” Thick Retaining Wall Caps
