September 15, 2021 - Written by: Anna Ricciardi

WATERPROOFING & NEW MASONRY

Bell & Evans, a family-owned company located in Fredericksburg, PA, and pioneer of natural and organic chicken, broke ground on a 411,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art European-plus Chicken Harvesting Plant in Fredericksburg. This will be the first new build of a chicken harvesting facility in the northeast United States in over 40 years.

The new Chicken Harvesting Plant will primarily support Bell & Evans’ retail and foodservice sectors and will enable the family-owned business to expand its organic line of products. The new plant will be one of several new facilities built at the 112-acre, multi-building complex in Fredericksburg, PA. Additional operations will include a wastewater treatment plant, rendering plant, composting building, and warehousing facility.

The Work performed by the Waterproofing team:

  • Joint Filler – 14,260 linear feet
  • Caulking – 18,789 linear feet
  • Waterproofing – 5,602 square feet

The masonry team also provided services for Bell & Evans Plant 3 :

  • 800 – Ground Face Site Wall w/ 70 cast stone wall caps
  • 13,350 – 12” Split-Face
