Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania houses the U.S. Army War College and other agencies. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has developed the new General Instruction Building to enhance strategic leadership and research. The four-story facility includes an auditorium, seminar spaces, lecture rooms, an academic library, podcast and broadcast studios, and an Innovation Center, aiming to provide a modern learning environment for military leaders. The Witmer Group provided masonry-related services, including the installation of 250,000 modular bricks, 40,000 square feet of polyisocyanurate insulation, 12,000 standard grey CMU, and 3,000 pieces of cast stone for sills, copings, stair treads, transition pavers, and site wall panels. Additionally, 300 pieces of variegated limestone coping and wall cladding were used for site walls and an outdoor classroom, along with 2,500 square feet of Berkshire natural Indiana limestone for feature walls. The meticulous installation of 300 square feet of 4-inch Mount Airy granite pavers and site wall caps further highlighted The Witmer Group’s attention to detail and dedication to quality. In The Witmer Group’s work on the General Instruction Building at Carlisle Barracks, the team demonstrated dedication to mastery, perseverance, and innovative masonry solutions. The completion of this project marks a significant milestone in strategic education at the U.S. Army War College and serves as a testament to The Witmer Group’s craftsmanship and dedication.
