Day 4 Highlight - Fall Protection and Scaffolding Annual Safety Training
DAY #4 of the National Safety Stand-Down
During the National Safety Stand-Down week, we are sharing fall protection training and resources we conduct throughout the year on our social media to extend fall protection education and the initiative to raise awareness and lower the risk of falls.
Day 4 Highlight – Fall Protection and Scaffolding Annual Safety Training
The Witmer Group conducts fall protection and scaffolding training at the annual company meeting every year. These trainings review guardrail systems, hole covers, personal fall arrest systems, ladders, warning line systems, fall restraints, rescue procedures, fatality statistics, addressing safety concerns, assessing the workplace, mitigating fall hazards, calculating fall clearance distance, inspections, and more. Also, during this time, employees have the opportunity to learn and hear from individuals who dedicate their lives to sharing their message about the importance of fall protection. (see Day 2 highlight for reference).
The dedication to fall protection and education goes beyond this annual training. Crews learn consistently throughout the year through toolbox talks and group huddles, renewal training, and certification training such as aerial lift training, suspension/swing training, and more.
Our goal is to take the initiative together to raise awareness and lower the risk of falls.
