The Indiantown Gap National Cemetery is a 600+ acre historic cemetery and memorial bearing witness to our American heritage and the military. The Witmer Group was contracted by G&C Fab-con to perform the masonry additions that would include several new buildings, decorative entry walls, and three columbarium complexes.
The entire project utilized 400 tons of stone material, which equates to approximately 15,000 square feet of stone veneer. Each of the areas presented its own challenges due to the complexity of the stone elements that would be blended together. Particularly challenging was the field measuring of the large limestone radius walls, which required templates be made and used directly for production. Due to the precise placement of existing railings, and expense of material, there was no margin for error. The Witmer Group, G&C Fab-Con, LLC and the owners worked successfully to complete the project and enhance the cemetery.
The Witmer Group honors the bravery of our American soldiers. We are proud to have worked on a project with such great historical significance
