The Pennsylvania Medical Society at Penn Grant Centre is a magnificent multi-story building constructed with EIFS (Dryvit) panels, natural stone and a band of aluminum windows at each level.
Years of exposure to the natural elements (sun, wind, rain, snow and hail) had caused structural damage and a dirty, worn appearance to the building’s façade. The Witmer Group was brought in to perform a comprehensive EIFS restoration that would repair and beautify the building. The scope included cleaning the entire building, recaulking all EIFS (Dryvit) panel and dissimilar material joints, patching and repairing some EIFS (Dryvit) panels, and finally recoating all of the EIFS (Dryvit) surfaces with 2 coatings of Dryvit Demandit coating, in a new color that was selected by the owner.
The Witmer team completed the project by the scheduled completion date. The team was praised for their outstanding customer service, which included daily progress reports, willingness to plan each day’s work to limit any interruptions to their valued tenants, and scheduling the disruptive work phases during off hours. The end result is a very satisfied owner with a beautiful building that now has a protected exterior and stunning appeal.
